The Astro provides 34 rooms in six categories: Standard, Double, Astro Queen, Astro King Suite, Astro Accessible Queen, and Astro Accessible Queen with Patio. Standard Queen rooms feature a queen bed with a Casper mattress, high thread count linens, and an original bathroom, with views of the courtyard garden and citrus trees. Double rooms offer two queen beds with Casper mattresses, high thread count linens, and an original bathroom, with views of Juilliard Park. Astro Queen rooms include a queen bed with a Casper mattress, high thread count linens, and a renovated bathroom with rainfall showers, with views of the courtyard garden and citrus trees. Astro King Suites are the largest rooms, equipped with a fully stocked kitchenette, breakfast nook, seating area, renovated bathrooms with rainfall shower, a king-sized bed with a Casper mattress, and high thread count linens. ADA rooms are on the first floor, designed for accessibility, including a visual doorbell, roll-in shower, and lowered queen bed with a Casper mattress and high thread count sheets. Each room includes a mini-fridge, flat screen television with cable, free WiFi, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. Local beer and snacks from The Spinster Sisters are available for purchase.
Dining Options
The guest lounge is open from 7am-10pm and offers comfortable seating. A complimentary breakfast of coffee, tea, pastries, yogurt, and granola from The Spinster Sisters pantry is available in the lounge every morning from 7-11am. There is a microwave in the lounge for guest use, and an ice machine just outside the lounge. The Astro is launching its inaugural season of 'Astro Adventures,' week-long tours of Sonoma County led by experts in wine, beer, spirits, and food. The Spinster Sisters' chef Liza Hinman creates an evolving menu of original dishes inspired by flavors and traditions from around the world. Guests can enjoy seasonal, locally-inspired drinks in the Astro's retro lounge from 5p-10p on Thursday and Friday the last three weeks in December. The motel publishes a book, 'The Spinster Sisters' Guide to Sonoma County,' featuring interviews with 50 of its staffers, neighbors, farmers, regulars and wine, beer and cider makers.
Leisure and Entertainment
The Astro offers unforgettable fun with friends, families, reunions, bachelor/bachelorette weekends, or corporate team building. Guests can enjoy Sonoma Canopy Tours, each a two-and-a-half hour guided eco tour that include multiple zip lines, sky bridges, a spiral staircase, and a rappel to the forest floor. Tours are intimate experiences with groups capped at 20 guests. Guests can find an oasis in the courtyard garden, which features fruit trees (plum, apple, lemon, mandarin, fig, and cherry), seating areas, an herb garden, a fire pit, and sculptures by local artist Mary Fuller McChesney, as well as a mural on the north wall by artist Amy Sol. The lounge has board games and a vintage sound system.

The Astro is located on the south edge of Juilliard Park, a stone's throw from downtown Santa Rosa in an up and coming arts district. It is 15 km from Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County. Sonoma County is one of the world's premier destinations for cycling; The Santa Rosa Creek Trail takes riders along a car-free path from downtown through various landscapes. Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve is a 23-mile drive. The Astro is cycling distance to breweries, wineries, redwoods and the Pacific Coast. Nearby landmarks include Taylor Mountain Regional Park (3 km), Cast Away Yarn Shop (0.5 km), Santa Rosa Plaza Mall (0.5 km), Oliver's Market (3 km), Church Built from One Tree (0.5 km), Charles M.
