Panamint Springs Motel & Tents is on California Scenic Highway 190, 10 miles inside the western edge of Death Valley National Park. It provides lodging, camping, and RV services. Accommodations include 14 Historic Motel Rooms, 1 Cottage, 9 Cabin Style Motel Rooms, and tent cabins. New Cabin Style Motel Rooms are available. All cabins have AC, small bathrooms with showers, and a covered outside sitting area. Some units feature a patio with a mountain view. There are two tent cabin sizes: Small Tent Cabins with 2 cots, and Large Tent Cabins with 4 cots. 22 tent sites are available. Extra cots are available for hire, contact the property for details.
Cottage and Bunk Cabin
The cottage is equipped with 1 queen bed in the master bedroom with an attached bathroom with a shower/tub combination. There is also a walk-in closet with a small refrigerator, and a living room with a couch and table with chairs. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on the top. The living room has a swamp cooler and the master bedroom has air conditioning. The Bunk Cabin offers one full bed and a twin bunkbed.
Restaurant and Bar
The restaurant is open every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals can be enjoyed outdoors on the porch. The menu includes Angus Beef Burgers, steak, ribs, salads, chicken tenders, and fish & chips. The bar serves wine, beer, and American-made craft brews.
Camping and RV Services
Panamint Springs Resort provides camping and RV services. There are 6 full-hookup sites (30 and 50 amp) with electricity, water, and sewer hookups, fire pits, and picnic tables. 26 dry sites are also available without hookups. Showers are included with the site fee for all campsites and tent cabins and are located in the restroom facilities. Quiet time for the campgrounds is 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Location and Amenities
The resort is near neighboring ghost towns, abandoned mines, and desert waterfalls. The gas station and general store include 87, 89, & 91 octane gasoline and diesel. The store also sells hand-scooped ice cream, milkshakes, pre-packaged ice cream desserts, bottled beverages, water, Seattle's Best coffee, fountain drinks, slushies, snacks, sundries, charcoal, firewood, apparel, postcards, books, and maps. Landmarks nearby include Rainbow Canyon (4 km). The resort produces electricity via a diesel generator that runs 24 hours per day.
