The Hydrangea Inn offers three distinct accommodation options. The Trillium Suite, at the top of the grand staircase, features a French door leading to a private living room with antiques and family heirlooms, and a fully outfitted modern kitchen. Its bathroom includes an original pedestal sink and a 6' cast iron bathtub with shower. The Redwood Bungalow is a detached bungalow with a full living/dining room, a modern kitchen with amenities for short or long stays, and a private bathroom with a tile shower. A bonus loft is accessible for storage or office space. The Rhododendron Flat is a two-bedroom apartment suitable for two couples or a family. It includes a living room, an office, a fully outfitted kitchen, and free WIFI. One bedroom has a king size bed, and the other contains a double bed. The second bedroom offers views over the rooftops toward the bay and displays original 1930's linoleum, old-growth redwood walls, and family heirlooms.

The stay includes a complimentary hot breakfast delivered in a basket. For other meals, Urbanspoon's number one restaurant in Eureka is seven blocks away, serving Mediterranean food with local harvest. Humboldt Bay Bistro offers bay-front fusion cuisine, French home-style cooking, and Californian cuisine. Oberon Grill in Old Town Eureka features a cocktail menu, wines, oysters, steaks, prime rib, and fish specials. For fresh fish, a local favorite offers the widest choice in the City, along with a fresh salad bar. On the way to Ferndale, stop in Fernbridge for coffee drinks and lunch featuring local products such as Mary's Free Range Chicken, Loleta Cheese, and Humboldt County Grazed beef.

Guests travel to see the thousand-year-old giant Coast Redwood trees and pristine beaches. The tallest tree, measuring 379.3 feet, is in Redwood National Park north of Eureka. Eureka has a 38-acre zoo bordering a redwood forest. Humboldt County features six rivers and the largest collection of Victorian homes and historic buildings in one town. Arts Alive, the first Saturday of every month, features artists in downtown Eureka. An area to the north is home to the largest elk herd wandering wild.

The Hydrangea Inn is 30 km from Arcata-Eureka. The Redwood Bungalow has its own private gated yard with lawn furniture. The Inn is near North Coast Repertory Theater (2 km), Sequoia Park Garden (3 km), Sequoia Park Zoo (2 km), HSU First Street Gallery (2 km), Kinetic Museum Eureka (2 km), Costco Wholesale (2 km) and Morris Graves Museum of Art (2 km).
