GRAND HOTEL, Sunnyvale

The Grand Hotel features rooms with either one king-sized bed or two queen-sized beds. Each room includes air conditioning, a bathroom with granite counter tops and vanity mirrors. Villas include a separate bedroom, living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, and bathroom with granite counter tops and dual vanity mirrors. Rooms and villas come with an LCD TV, iHome docking station, mini-fridge, plush robes, and Wi-Fi.

The Lounge serves breakfast and cocktails. Each evening from 5 to 6 p.m., guests enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Guests can select cocktails made from top shelf liquors, California's boutique wineries, or a variety of beers. Room service is available with a menu offering options such as Buffalo wings, Italian Bruschetta, and Wild Garlic Shrimp. Salad options include The Grand Farms Harvest Salad and Whole Leaf Caesar Salad. Main courses feature a Cheese Burger, Veggie Sandwich, Grilled Chicken, Texas BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Slow Braised Short Rib, Cowboy Rib Eye Steak, and Pan Seared Halibut.

Guests can use the heated pool, open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Vidovich Vineyards, located at 18101 Montebello Road in Cupertino, is a short drive away. At the winery, visitors can enjoy views of the Bay Area, including Silicon Valley, San Jose, and San Francisco on clear days. The winery is next to the San Andreas Fault, which creates limestone in the soil. The winery is open from 12 Noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday only, and by appointment.

The Grand Hotel is located at 865 W. El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, California, next to the Sunnyvale Civic Center. It's 20 km from Norman Y.
