The Gingerbread Mansion features eleven suites, each uniquely themed. The Empire Suite, located on the third floor, includes Corinthian columns, a marble glass shower, two fireplaces, a claw foot tub, and a California king-sized bed. The Fountain Suite has a king-size bed with a hand-carved Italian canopy, two claw foot tubs, and a corner fireplace. The Rose Suite includes a four-post king-size bed, a fireplace, a flat screen TV, a claw foot tub, and a raindrop shower. The Veneto Suite is decorated with a trompe l'oeil mural of Venice. The Strawberry Hill Room faces away from the street and features a log-burning fireplace, a queen-sized bed, and a step-in raindrop shower overlooking the English garden. Zipphora includes a queen-sized bed, a flat screen TV, and a stall shower. The Garden Room provides a corner fireplace, a queen-sized bed, a private patio overlooking the English garden, a claw foot tub, and a raindrop shower. The Hideaway Room, located on the first floor, includes a private deck, an ornate fireplace, and two queen-size beds.
Dining
The Gingerbread Mansion serves a hot breakfast made from scratch daily from 8am to 10am, including buttermilk waffles, savory sausage quiche, and stuffed French toast. Afternoon tea and wine are served daily from 4-6pm with sweet or savory delicacies, which can be enjoyed in the parlors or the English garden. Coffee and tea service is available at 7:15am in the library.

Guests can lounge by the fireplace or soak in the claw foot bathtub. Lost Coast Adventure Tours offers hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, ropes course adventure, horseback riding, surfing, and diving. Camp Weott Guide Services provides a narrated, 2-hour boat tour of the Eel River Estuary. The Humboldt Bay Wildlife Refuge is home to over 200 bird species, with peak viewing season from September through March. The Humboldt County Fair and Horse Race takes place every August. The hotel is 60 km from Arcata-Eureka.

Gingerbread Mansion is in the Victorian Village of Ferndale, near Main Street District art galleries, antique shops, and boutiques. The hotel is surrounded by Humboldt Redwoods State Park. It is the northern gateway to the King Range National Conservation Area, also known as the Lost Coast. Firemen's Park is located at the end of Main and Berding Streets. Centerville Beach is located 5 miles west. Mother whales and their young travel through the area very close to land in April and May.
