Historic Inn Accommodations

The Bridgeport Inn, built in 1877 on Highway 395 in Bridgeport, California, offers hotel rooms with antique furnishings with either one double or two twin beds. Motel rooms at ground level feature two queens or three double beds. Stagecoach Economy rooms include one double or two twin beds without a private bath. A breakfast option is included with each Hotel/Motel stay. All guests can use the spacious parlor downstairs to read, watch TV, play games, or listen to music. Pets are welcome in the motel rooms.

Dining at Bridgeport Inn

The family-friendly restaurant at Bridgeport Inn is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fresh eggs prepared to order, omelets, French toast, fresh fruit, homemade cinnamon rolls, and hash browns are part of the regular breakfast fare, served from 8:00 am daily. Lunch includes char-broiled burgers and prime rib French dip sandwiches, along with Caesar, Chinese chicken, chef, and Ahi salads, served from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm daily. Dinner features prime rib, steaks, fresh seafood, charbroiled chicken, and pasta dishes, with Grandma's Pot Roast and homemade Meatloaf on the menu, served from 5:00 pm until closing. Fish and Chips are on the lunchtime menu, as well as in the Children's and Senior's Section. The restaurant uses Park Ranch Dry Aged Local Beef.

Bar and Private Wines

The Bridgeport Inn includes a bar where guests can order beer, well-or-call drinks, and private label wines by the glass or bottle. Bartenders share the history of the Bridgeport Inn, dating back to 1877. The bar area extends outdoors to the front porch and patio lawn. Our award-winning Private Label Wines are available by the glass or bottle.

Parlor and Information

The Inn features a parlor filled with period furnishings, a player piano, a cranked Victrola, and a wood stove. The parlor plays records from the 50's and 60's on the jukebox. The Bridgeport Inn houses a Tourism Information Center with brochures, recreation guides, and informative publications.

Location and Activities

Bridgeport Inn is 90 km from Mammoth Yosemite. The Inn is an ideal base to experience outdoor activities in the Eastern High Sierra, including fishing, hiking, hunting, off-road trails, rock collecting, and visiting old mining sites and Travertine Hot Springs. Guests can drive over Devil's Gate Pass, visit Bodie (a National Historic Site and a State Historic Park in 1962), and tour the Mono County Museum. Bridgeport is centrally located for Mono County adventures, Nevada Casinos, and Mammoth Mountain skiing. Travelers stop to visit nearby historic sites. The Bridgeport Inn is open daily from Mid-March through October.

“This historic inn appeals most to travelers prioritizing period charm and convenient access to Bridgeport's attractions, including Yosemite. The on-site restaurant offers family dining, and I particularly note the pet-friendly policy, a real advantage for those exploring the Eastern High Sierra with their companions. Be aware that some rooms, while clean, may present issues with light and temperature control.”
