The Topanga Canyon Inn offers themed rooms across two buildings, Casa Blanca and Casa Rosa. The Me Tarzan, You Jane Room features a wrought iron canopy bed and mountain views; its bathroom is private but detached. The Bogey & Bacall Room includes rosewood furniture and a shower/tub combination. The Clark & Carole Room provides Warren Hile Craftsman furniture, a queen bed, a private patio, and a detached bathroom with a shower. The Tracy & Hepburn Room offers two double beds and accommodates up to four guests. The Rhett & Scarlett Room features carved furniture, a fireplace, two private balconies, and a spa tub. The Nick & Nora Room has a Craftsman Mission-style queen bed and an antique sofa bed. The Fred & Ginger Room includes Art Deco furniture, a private balcony, and a bidet. Amenities include toiletries, linens, a hairdryer, bathrobes (in select rooms), and hiking maps. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, dental care sets, shaving products, an iron, ironing board, and sewing kit are available upon request. A Full American Breakfast is served daily. Limited self-serve breakfast is available for guests needing to eat earlier or later. The Inn's kitchen is stocked with tea, coffee, hot cocoa, popcorn, cookies, and fruit. Regional wines are available with picnic tables and an adjoining store. For breakfast, guests bake vegan pancakes with berries and yogurt, or spicy fried potatoes with Granny Smith apple, garlic, and parsley.
Leisure and Activities
Hiking, jogging, mountain biking, plein air painting, nature photography, and bird watching begin right outside the Inn. Backbone Trail leads toward Eagle Rock. Guests can walk to Casa Rosa via Casa Blanca driveway. Beaches and surfing are 15 minutes away. The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum is located within 2 minutes driving distance of our Inn. Guests take Backbone trail that goes up-and-up a mountain side toward Eagle Rock. Cheney Trail starts at sandstone boulders and goes out of Topanga State Park.
Location and Transportation
Located 40 km from Los Angeles International Airport, the Topanga Canyon Inn is one mile off Topanga Canyon Boulevard. It is near Top of Topanga Overlook (3 km), Summit Valley Edmund D. Edelman Park (1 km), and Topanga Creek General Store (4 km). Temescal Canyon Road is the starting point for a bike path touring Santa Monica Bay, 15 minutes from the Inn. Public transportation includes the Topanga Beach Bus Service (3 miles away) connecting to Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus and Metro Bus. Guests will need to rent a car or hire a car service. Ride-sharing services are also available.
