The Mountain Houses' circular design invites you into the natural surroundings of trees and mountains. The Cliff House is suited for immersion in the coast. Guests in the Pacific Suites spend their day surrounded by the ocean. A new state-of-the-art, medical-grade ventilation system completely replenishes rooms with fresh, Big Sur air up to six times per hour. Enjoy a cup of morning coffee or tea on the private deck suspended over the top of the ridge. The private, outdoor deck offers views of the Pacific.
Sierra Mar Restaurant
Sierra Mar treats guests to a farm-driven dining experience and offers views of the Pacific Ocean. The restaurant offers a four-course, prix fixe dinner menu which changes daily, along with selections from Wine Spectator Grand Award-winning wine menu. Dinner offers a seasonal, four-course prix-fixe menu that changes daily and is inspired by ingredients from dynamic Chef's Garden. A special Vegan menu is available. The Sommelier Selections list features curated selections available by the bottle and by the glass. The menu offers options ranging from salads, sandwiches, snacks, pizzas and more. The Ranch Dinner menu provides guests with a salad, soup, protein, vegetable and dessert for two. The Ranch Dinner menu offers choices for each course. The talented wine team helps guests find complements throughout the meal.
Breakfast and Lunch
A complimentary breakfast can be enjoyed each morning at Sierra Mar either indoors in the dining room or outdoor on the patio. It features Californian staples from own Chef's Garden and the surrounding farms and terroir. Guests are treated to a cooked-to-order breakfast featuring eggs, omelets, fresh juices, seasonal fruits and berries, bagels, house-made granola, fresh-baked pastries, unique jams and savory meats. Lunch and snacks, including sandwiches, salads, pizzas and more, are available all day. The garden-centric, prix-fixe menu features a shared platter of seasonal small bites presented on a custom-carved wood board, followed by a Farmer's Market Salad for the table and a hearty main course.
Chef's Garden
Guests discover an Chef's Garden, located down in the meadow, with vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers in bloom. Ingredients are artfully prepared using locally foraged items discovered along the lush coastline and the nearby mountains, along with those grown here at Post Ranch in bountiful Chef's Garden. Post Ranch has just launched a brand new set of sustainability initiatives. Guests enjoy refreshing drinks or a delicious meal next to the warmth of the firepit and the fresh Big Sur breeze.
Fine Wines
Sierra Mar offers rare and exceptional fine wines, earning Wine Spectator's Grand Award annually since 2012. The acclaimed wine list is from a vast Grand Award-winning wine cellar, with over 15,000 bottles and 3,200 selections. The onsite restaurants are led by Chef Reylon Agustin, the Director of Culinary and Chef Il Hoon Kang, the Executive Chef. Sierra Mar showcases the underwater photography of Chuck Davis, a local cinematographer and photographer, capturing the ocean in detail. State-of-the-art ventilation replenishes the dining room with fresh, Big Sur air up to six times per hour. Ultra-efficient Mila HEPA air purifiers are placed throughout Sierra Mar. Table-top air purifiers from Wynd create a bubble of purified air at each table.
