BENBOW HISTORIC INN, Garberville

The Benbow Historic Inn offers Historical Rooms with sherry, reading materials, and Wi-Fi. Terrace Rooms provide robes, patios, smart TVs, and refrigerators in King rooms. Suites include Clara Benbow's Suite with Rose Garden and Reed Mountain views, Helen Benbow's Suite overlooking the terrace and Pratt Mountain, and Evangeline Benbow's Suite with a private balcony and Pratt Mountain view. Burtis Benbow's Suite features a vintage copper soaking tub and river views. Walter Benbow's Suite has a stone bridge view, while Robert Benbow's Suite includes a separate sitting room. Leta Benbow's Room offers a stone bridge view, and Earnest Linser's Room has an adjoining room option. Further options include Garden Cottage Rooms with exposed beams, Fireplace King Rooms with a California king bed, Terrace King Rooms overlooking the Benbow gardens, Terrace Queen Rooms, and Terrace Petite Rooms that accommodate pets. Queen Balcony Rooms overlook the Eel River. Additional rooms include Historical Queen Rooms, Deluxe Queen Rooms with views of the terrace or garden, Premium Queen Rooms with Eel River views, Historical King Rooms facing Reed Mountain, Premium King Rooms facing a redwood grove, and Twin Rooms.

The Benbow Historic Inn has a restaurant that serves dinner from 5 PM to 9 PM nightly. The Bar opens at 3 PM, serving a Bar Food Menu from 3 PM to 10 PM. Brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 2 PM. Breakfast is offered in the Lobby Bar for all guests. A complimentary tea and scones service is available in the upper lobby from 3 PM to 4 PM. Guests can also head to the Lost Coast Brewery & Café for additional dining choices. Until further notice, Benbow will only be serving hotel and KOA guests in the restaurant for dinner. The last seating is at 8:30pm and 7:45pm on Wednesdays.

Guests have access to hiking, birding, kayaking, and Redwood State Parks. The Benbow KOA, a short walk from the Inn, features a pool, jacuzzi, splash park, playground, general store, and a 9-hole golf course. The Inn offers bicycle rentals and an outdoor pool open from May to October. There is also an outdoor jacuzzi, a playground, and a sport court. The KOA Game Room includes pool, video games, and a fireplace. Guests can experience a Forest Bathing Tour. This activity has benefits to bodies, physically and mentally that are measurable in reduced stress, increased immunity and enhanced emotional well-being. The Avenue of the Giants Redwood Forest Eco Tour features an extensive variety of plant life.

The Benbow Historic Inn is near Garberville in California Redwood Country, close to the Avenue of the Giants and Humboldt Redwoods Park. It is 2 miles from Garberville Airport, and shuttle services are available by arrangement. The Benbow Historic Inn is ADA compliant with a 5-stop elevator, a lower lobby check-in area, and new public restrooms. Services include a gift shop, meeting rooms, a guest library, and an electric charging station for vehicles for a small fee. The Inn provides complimentary newspapers and premium Wi-Fi. There are options for weddings, parties & special events. Weddings require a reservation of 10 to 30 rooms. Onsite parking is available. The hotel welcomes service dogs in public spaces. The General Store at the Benbow KOA has snacks, beverages, local products, health supplies, and camping supplies.
